3D tomographic reconstruction of Lyman-alpha absorption (blue) at z=2.05-2.55 within the COSMOS field, using background galaxies and quasars observed with the Keck-I telescope. The glowing points are coeval galaxies with known spectroscopic redshifts. The footprint on the sky (shorter axes) is approximately 26 arcminutes x 21 arcminutes, or 43 comoving Megaparsecs x 34 Megaparsecs.

The video was produced in cooperation with K. G. Lee (MPIA).
