Where we are

Look at HdA on Google Maps (e.g. for directions).

Public Transport

Bus 30 in the direction of Königstuhl (“Science Bus”). The bus stop MPIA is directly in front of the Haus der Astronomie.

Bus 39 in the direction of Königstuhl. Get off at Sternwarte; from there, it’s a 5-10 minute walk (not illuminated in the evening during winter time).

Important: Capacity of busses to Königstuhl is limited. Larger groups are asked to inform the regional transport authority RNV so they can take the added demand into account. RNV can be reached under +49 621 465-0.

Bergbahn (funicular) from downtown Heidelberg up to Königstuhl. Get off at Königstuhl (mountainside terminus) and prepare for a 10 to 15 minute walk through pleasant surroundings.

To plan your trip, we recommend using the tools on the VRN webpages.
