The great journey through the Universe

Fly with us to the ends of the Universe in the Haus der Astronomie’s digital, interactive Zeiss planetarium and take the opportunity to ask everything you've always wanted to know about the Universe along the way.

We start the preparations for our journey in the foyer of the Haus der Astronomie. Here you will learn about our architecturally very interesting building and have the opportunity to equip yourself with some basic astronomical knowledge at our small exhibition.

In the planetarium, we generally start on Earth and fly from there over the International Space Station (ISS) out into our solar system. From there we can zoom around all the planets and their moons – you choose which ones you’d like us to fly around! The images projected on the dome of the planetarium are compiled from real shots taken by space telescopes and space probes.

The journey then continues through the Milky Way and on to distant galaxies. And perhaps we’ll even manage to fly to the ends of the Universe.

The space flight will be headed by an experienced astronomer and tour guide from the Haus der Astronomie, who can answer any questions you may have and will of course also do their best to fulfil any requests from the audience. Would you like to take a closer look at Jupiter’s moons, or perhaps fly through Saturn’s rings? That can be arranged!

One thing is certain: at the end, you will land safely back on Earth.

The show lasts approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes; the length depends on how many questions are asked by the audience.

We offer the "Journey through the Universe" for groups of 12 people or more. Dates are agreed on individually and the tours are offered on normal working days between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. (start time). If you have a specific date in mind, we recommend that you make a reservation in good time.

For groups of up to 50 people, the tour costs € 250; for groups of more than 50 people, there is an extra cost of € 5 for every additional person.

If you would like to book a tour for a small group or at the weekend, please contact the Astronomieschule e.V. (Contact details and more information can be found under "Private tours").
